Five-Year Local Option Levy for Library Operations
July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2028

The Warrenton Community Library is funded through a local option tax levy. On May 16, Warrenton voters will have the opportunity to support a five-year levy in the amount of $0.33 per $1,000 of assessed property value. The current levy expires on June 30, 2023.

Without this levy, library operations will cease.

Current levy rate: 33 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value
Proposed new levy rate: 33 cents per $1,000 of assessed property value
(This is not an increase in the tax rate!)

A home with an assessed value of $250,000 will pay $82.50 per year, or less than $7.00 a month. A home with an assessed value of $500,000 will pay $165 per year, or less than $14.00 a month.
